Leg pain of course. Resolved after a bit. We ate at Grañon and walked through a couple of other villages. Hooked up with Shelly, from Alabama, and stopped in a cafe at Villamayor del Rio and later got into Belorado. Shelly moved on. We passed many fields of Sunflowers. Look how they remove seeds and make faces with them.
23 kms today. My feet ached the last 6 kms. Probably residual from yesterday. First albergue we found, zipped in!. Nice, very new. 5€, 3€ for breakfast, 1€ for the blanket, which I wanted. It is getting quite chilly. Washed and hung my clothes. Took a veeeeeery long hot shower. Even shaved my legs....lol, first time in a year. Niall went down into town to check out the food scene. We could have eaten here, but she was out of most dishes and town was the place to go. He said it looked like a party was starting. I asked the hospitalera and she said it is the town´s fiesta. WooHoo!! We had a pleasant dinner. Then strolled to the plaza. A band was set up.
They played a salsa. I looked at Niall and said, "Here´s our dance!" We had looked in Logroño to dance with no luck. We danced a few, joined a conga line...lol.At 10:30 the band stopped so people could go home and eat dinner and they would come back on at 12:30am. We went to a bar and drank beer. There was a group of young people with instruments playing awful, but since they were having such a good time we followed them. Back to the plaza. No curfew at our albergue, but we decided to head back. I peed in the bushes. Niall was like...what??
